Baru

This is a skeleton reconstruction of an extinct Australian mekosuchine crocodilia from the Baru genus.
Roughly about 65% of the skeleton had to be re-built from scratch. With some guidance from Adamm Yates and Peter Norton I created missing bones in Zbrush and prepped them there for 3d print.
Later on it was 3d printed and further prepared for exhibition by Gondwana Studios.
It's on permanent display at "Megafauna Central" in Alice Springs NT Australia.
I wanted to see what would it look like if it was cast in gold or brass type of metal so I cooked up shader and rendered it.
